Collective Harts is a collaborative network of trauma-informed specialists and bereavement trainings that centers anti-racist work that respects physiologic and psychological experiences. Together we bring connection to community through full spectrum doula services, research, conversations as well as pursuing new collaborations.
Linsey alongside a growing team focuses on impactful cultural changes as well as uplifting products and policies with advocates shifting cultural norms during pregnancy and end of life transitions. Some urgent key motivators for this work include though aren’t limited to:
One in four pregnancies ends in death and with six million people becoming pregnant every year that’s more than two million births resulting in demise, it is crucial everyone has access to whole body literacy and grief education today
Maternal and fetal demise increases between three and seven times if you are a Black or indigenous person of color and corporations have now identified the Black maternal health “market” as a $59 billion industry — awareness of this racist reality for many is vital to our collective reproductive wellness
The financial burden of births that end in demise cost 3 times more than live births in the United States
Depression is at an all time high with hormone rates increasing up to eight times during reproductive years, connection and access to medication and whole body healing have never been more necessary
Unemployment rates from the pandemic impact working wombs greatest during the peak of reproduction, it is more important than ever to identify new channels moving financially secure collaborations forward
With $77 billion dollars spent on U.S. baby care products annually and no current accountability for the amount of waste and hormone disruptors produced from these products, we will likely find out its damage too late
We are a movement of progress makers, united together under the same urgency to dismantle the systems that negatively impact the most vulnerable of us while creating whole-hearted wellness for future generations to thrive. We prosper on discovering what’s possible when we value collective care and resources for our next generation portal workers and the community supporting them. We are a group that stays curious about what happens when capitalism and conception are peeled apart, to facilitate true commerce of care.
Welcome to the community of Collective Harts project, we look forward to getting to know you!

**Collective Harts is committed to the understanding that change happens from learning; that learning takes time and that unlearning takes even longer. Built on key understandings from fellow mothers and entrepreneurs such as Toi Smith’s work on doing business for the people, Brene Brown’s work with Dare to Lead, Erica McAfee’s work with Sisters in Loss, Alua Arthur’s Shifting Deathcare course through Going with Grace and Bozoma Saint John’s work with The Badass Workshop, Collective Harts is a team turned on by radical vulnerability.
***The businesses of birthing and dying are dated and littered with harmful thinking and policies requiring many upgrades. Collectively as a team, we prioritize those burning it all down if it means that Black and Brown people finally get the economic justice they so richly deserve while our team works to redistribute resources, funding and alleviate daily stresses amplified during life’s most transitional moments.
